Merilampi acted as Skanska's legal advisors in its acquisition of the head office property of the pharmaceutical company MSD Finland in Keilaniemi, Espoo. The value of the transaction was approximately EUR 22.6 million. The five-storey office building has a total of 4,600 square meters of leasable space and 180 parking spaces.

After the acquisition, Skanska aims to refurbish the existing office building, develop new office premises on the property and estimate the utilization of approximately 3,000 square meters of available building rights. Skanska CDF Oy is part of Skanska's Nordic commercial project development unit Skanska Commercial Development Nordic, which acts as an initiator and investor in office project development projects. Operations are concentrated in three metropolitan areas in Sweden, the Copenhagen area in Denmark and Helsinki, Finland.

Skanska's operations in Finland cover construction services, project development for housing and business premises, and public sector life cycle projects. Construction services include building construction, building services and infrastructure construction.
