On the merger side, the firm successfully represented Uponor in a merger control trial before the Market Court – the first time it has been asked to rule under the SIEC test. The court approved the deal with conditions despite efforts by the competition authority to block it. On the cartel side, it advised Koivunen in the authority investigation and later court cases regarding collusion in the car part market, and continues to defend the company from damages claims. It also represents Skanska in the asphalt follow-on litigation, and postal service provider Itella in an appeal procedure concerning decisions by the telecoms regulator on pricing and division of costs.
