Attorney-at-law, Trained at the Bench, Annika Luhtanen has been appointed as a partner of Merilampi as of August 14th, 2023. She will also assume responsibility for heading the firm’s Real Estate and Construction practice group.

Luhtanen has for many years practiced as an attorney at law and trusted advisor to clients in real estate and construction law matters. She joins Merilampi from another business law firm. Luhtanen is also a frequent lecturer in the field.

Attorney-at-law Maria Solala-Aro is appointed as Specialist Counsel in Tax practice at Merilampi as of September 1st, 2023.

Solala-Aro has worked for almost two decades in the field of taxation, including in the Finnish Tax Administration and the Tax Recipients’ Legal Services Unit. For more than ten years she has provided tax advice in smaller law firms as a partner. Solala-Aro has assisted companies, associations, foundations, and individuals in a wide range of tax matters, including tax audits, tax appeals, mergers and acquisitions and changes of generation. In addition to personal and corporate taxation, she has strong expertise in VAT.

She has been active in the field as a member of the tax law expert group of the Finnish Bar Association and as a member of the Law and Tax Committee of the Tampere Chamber of Commerce.
