Merilampi represented Hemsö Fastighets AB in its acquisition from Citycon of a school property currently under construction in Pori, Finland. The tenant is Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK), which has signed a 20-year lease guaranteed by the City of Pori. The deal value was EUR 56.5 million, and the property comprises 23,000 m2 of lettable area. The property will be transferred to Hemsö when construction is completed in May 2017.

Hemsö is Sweden’s leading private owner of properties for community services, and the company already owns 17 school and health care properties in Finland.
