Merilampi represents Kesko Group company K Caara Oy in its acquisition of the Volkswagen, Audi and SEAT businesses of Laakkonen Group. The transaction includes new and used car sales and car servicing and after-sales services.

The combined pro forma net sales of the businesses to be acquired were approximately EUR 259 million and operating profit EUR 5.4 million in 2018. The businesses employ approximately 470 people.

The completion of the acquisition is subject to the approval of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority. The transaction is expected to be completed during the third quarter of 2019.
