Pihlajalinna Terveys Ltd, part of Pihlajalinna Group, acquired the entire share capital of Pohjola Hospital Ltd from its current owner Pohjola Insurance Ltd.

Pihlajalinna’s acquisition of Pohjola Hospital was completed on February 1, 2022. The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCC) approved the acquisition on January 14, 2022.

In connection with the acquisition, Pohjola Insurance and Pihlajalinna entered into a long-term co-operation agreement to provide health services to Pohjola Insurance's customers.

Pihlajalinna operates extensively in the market for social and health services in Finland. Pohjola Hospital is a member of the OP Financial Group's operations focused on orthopedics and hand surgery. It has concentrated its operations on five university hospital locations.
