Merilampi represents Kesko Corporation in the establishment of a joint venture with Oriola-KD Corporation. The joint venture starts building a new kind of store chain in Finland, which specialises in health, beauty and wellbeing.

The first phase objective of the parties is to build a chain of one hundred stores and establish an online store. The first stores will be opened in autumn 2017. The plan is to also expand the business into the selling of pharmaceuticals, if legislation permits.

The establishment of the joint venture is subject to the approval of the competition authorities.
